Panaon is a 5th class municipality in the 1st district of Misamis Occidental province in the region of Northern Mindanao, Philippines. It consists of 16 barangays with the following names: Baga, Bangko, Camanucan, Dela Paz, Lutao, Magsaysay, Map-an, Mohon, Poblacion, Punta, Salimpuno, San Andres, San Juan, San Roque, Sumasap, and Barangay Villalin.
