The groundbreaking ceremony for the road construction in Zone 3, San Lazaro, Brgy. Lapasan took place last July 2026, marking a significant milestone for the community. This long-awaited project has an allocated budget of Php 9,438,000.00 dedicated to enhancing the road infrastructure and improving the water drainage systems, which are crucial for preventing flooding during the rainy season. It was made possible through the collaborative efforts of Sitio San Lazaro officials and Lapasan barangay officials, whose commitment to community development has been unwavering; the generous support of the Rodriguez family; and, in particular, the proactive office of Congressman Rufus B. Rodriguez, who prioritized this initiative. Furthermore, this project is being executed in partnership with the DPWH Cagayan de Oro City 2nd District Engineering Office, ensuring that the construction complies with all applicable regulations and standards, ultimately aiming to provide safer and more reliable access for residents and businesses alike.
